ACTIVE AGING WEEK

Active Aging Week was initiated by the International Council of Active Aging to give many older adults the means to experience activities and exercise in a safe, friendly, and fun atmosphere.  During the week, Upward Motion Personal Training will provide a variety of free activities such as; classes, educational seminars, access to fitness facilities, health fairs, and community walks.

According to the US CDC (Center for Disease Control) older adults who are physically active, reduce their risks of heart disease and diabetes while increasing their mental alertness and continue to live independently. They can also stimulate their minds by reading, playing games, taking educational classes, and being socially active with family and friends.

This is why I am hosting this event at Upward Motion Personal Training.  By providing an atmosphere where older adults can be physically and socially active, this will greatly enhance their personal quality of life.

Please join us for a FREE event that is open to all physically active seniors.  Below is the calendar of events that are going to be taking place during Active Aging Week.  At the end of the week, each person will receive a Tee-shirt and certificate of participation.
